Food Skills for Families

Food Skills for Families is a hands-on curriculum that makes healthy eating, grocery shopping and cooking easy and fun.  The curriculum teaches participants how to make healthy meals, snack and beverage choices and gain confidence in the kitchen.

Curriculum

The core curriculum has six three-hour sessions and our agency is a host agency in the Comox Valley. The sessions are taught by our trained and certified community facilatator.  Sessions include learning components about food safety, nutrition and smart shopping tips. Each session centres on hands-on cooking and group participants not only prepare a complete meal, enjoy eating the meal together!

Sessions may resume in fall of 2022. If you would like to put your name on a wait-list to be contacted when the sessions resume, please contact Carol to register by phoning 250-871-7577.
