CVFSA is a registered charity and can issue receipts for donations.
Registered charities in Canada include societies, associations, public or private foundations. These nonprofit entities must use all resources for charitable activities that fall into one or more of the following categories:
How much of my donation goes to administration costs?
None, all donations are used directly to help with the program and do not cover core costs such as administration. We strive to ensure that the funds raised are used as effectively as possible.
Do you accept in-kind donations?
Some of our contributions come in the form of in-kind donations, such as new or slightly used equipment donated to help with office work or programming e.g. sports equipment. Some items we are not able to take e.g. used infant/child car seats. CVFSA also receive services rendered on a pro-bono basis.
Do you have any volunteer opportunities?
