As the Executive Director for the Comox Valley Family Services Association (CVFSA), Lisa Iverson is responsible for ensuring the ongoing operations and growth of the association. Experienced in team-based leadership, she brings to the organization skills that include a Commerce Degree, Aboriginal Leadership as well as continued research and education exploring innovative approaches to supporting healthy families.
Her role is also ensuring capacity, developing and maintaining the strategic plan with oversight from the board, maintaining vital partnerships within the community and working with supporters to continually advocate for the diverse needs of our community's families.
Lisa has lived in the Comox Valley for over 15 years after making the trek up from Victoria BC where she was born and raised. Her home includes husband Blaire and their teenage daughter Charlotte. The valley has been a perfect fit for the Iversons who love everything from skiing to sailing and getting out on the trails to walk both their 95 pound Bernese Mountain Dog and 3 pound Chihuahua.
"I believe the Comox Valley is unique in that our community is one that celebrates a healthy lifestyle, diversity, and compassion for all. We have an opportunity before us to continue on a path that leads us to a future where all families are happy, healthy and thriving in our beautiful valley."
