What is an Annual General Meeting (AGM)all about?
An AGM is an important part of the democratic life of an organization. Provincially incorporated non-profit ( and charities) organizations are required by law to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM).The Board and Executive Director present the Annual Report, which will inform members of the organization's accomplishments, its financial standing and plans for future directions.
Our society's AGM takes place every year. Our AGM is an opportunity to share the news, challenges and successes of our organization and hear from its membership. It is often the primary two-way communication channel for the Board and its stakeholders to share our annual reporting. We feel that ensuring that the AGM takes place is part of good governance.
Thanks to all who joined us and connected with fellow members, Board of Directors, Executive Director and staff at this year's AGM.
